The MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) is a new MLBB competition that replaces the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup. It’s the 2nd international in-season major, and in 2026, it will be included in the Esports World Cup, held in Paris, France. A total of 25 teams compete across 3 main stages to win a share of the $3.02m prize pool. The winning team collects $1 million in prize money.

The MSC began on 1 July with the Wild card stage as teams fought for the last-remaining qualifying spot. 16 teams then entered the group stage that began on 22 July. Here are the main dates for the tournament:

• 1-4 July - Wildcard stage

• 22-26 July - Group stage

• 29 July - 1 August - Knockout stage

How the MSC 2026 group stage and knockouts work

1 team qualifies from the wildcard stage, joining 15 teams in the group stage. All teams are split into 2 groups of 8, where they compete in double-elimination brackets. Matches are played to the best of 3 games, and the top 4 teams from each bracket qualify for the knockout stage.

8 teams compete across a single-elimination bracket. Teams that won 2 matches in the previous round choose their opponents from the teams that qualified through the lower bracket. Picking order is determined by point differential during the group stage. During the knockout stage, all matches are played to the best of 5 games. However, the Grand Final is a best-of-7 series.
