Ilia Topuria vs Max Holloway
Topuria has looked incredibly impressive since arriving in the UFC back in 2020. He has a 15-0 professional record, with all but two of his fights ending in a stoppage. Topuria has excellent submission skills but showed his fast hands and power in his last fight when he beat featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski with a second-round knockout. This will be the first defense of his title. While Topuria has looked unbeatable, he may need to mix his skills and not just rely on striking to beat his next opponent.
Max Holloway held the featherweight belt between 2017 and 2019, with his reign ending when he fought Alexander Volkanovski. Although he lost three fights against the Australian, he continued to dominate other opponents in the featherweight division and recently won an impressive KO victory against Justin Gaethje when he moved up to lightweight. Now, he’ll have a chance to win the championship once more. Holloway is known for his excellent striking ability and high volume, as well as his impressive toughness.

Robert Whittaker vs Khamzat Chimaev
Whittaker was originally scheduled to fight Chimaev in June, but his opponent pulled out due to illness. Instead, he fought Aliskerov at short notice, securing a first-round KO victory. The former middleweight champion has only lost to former champ Adesanya and current champ Du Plessis in the last ten years, and this will be a huge test for Chimaev.
When Khamzat Chimaev first entered the UFC in 2020, he got a lot of attention by fighting three times in three months and finishing all his opponents in impressive fashion. While he’s remained undefeated, his progress has slowed due to injuries and illness. He most recently beat former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman just over a year ago but will be facing his highest-ranked opponent yet. His fast-paced wrestling style may not be as effective against Whittaker, and it could come down to who has the best striking.
Lerone Murphy vs Dan Ige
While the main event will get a lot of attention, this also promises to be an exciting clash within the featherweight division. Murphy has an undefeated record with 14 wins and 1 draw, most recently winning against Edson Barboza in what was the fight of the night.
Dan Ige might have lost his last fight against Diego Lopes, but he still received a lot of plaudits for coming in at such short notice and performing well against a fighter who could soon be challenging for the title. While he’s lost five of his last eight, he’s always fighting the best in the division and is very tough, with no stoppage losses in the UFC.
